Jessica Rector – Benefits Consultant

Benefits Under Design LLC believes that strong client relationships are crucial to your success as well as our own. As a benefits consultant, Jessica is the first point of contact in the needs evaluation process and continues throughout the life cycle of the client relationship to make sure that your plan evolves with your business. Jessica’s background in sales related to the health and wellness industry, as well as brokerage firm experience in a customer service and administrative capacity, makes her an asset to companies in the cannabis industry.

Kelly Rector – Principal

Kelly has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been a licensed broker since 1997.  As an Employee Benefits Consultant she specializes in group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and worksite benefits.  Kelly’s focus is on providing high value fully compliant plans to small and mid-sized employers. 

Kelly also has a sub-specialty in the Individual Marketplace.  She assists individuals and families in choosing a plan that best suits their needs.  She stays abreast of the changes of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and is frequently consulted by and quoted in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Associated Press, Kaiser Health News, The Washington Post, and NBC News.

Kelly is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), as well as a prior member of the Board of the St. Louis chapter (SLAHU).

Emily Bremer – Principal

Emily Bremer has been licensed in life, health and accident insurance and working as an insurance broker and consultant since 2004. She is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, and Indiana.

In addition to providing brokerage services, Emily consults with local businesses on employee benefits strategic planning and has been featured on several St. Louis radio and television stations as a local expert in her field. She is also regularly consulted by and quoted in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Kaiser Health News, and the Associated Press. 

Emily earned certifications in Consumer Directed Health Plans and Self-Funded Health Plans through the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Emily has been an active member of NAHU since 2005, and is a past President of both the St. Louis and Missouri chapters Board of Directors. She received a distinguished service award from NAHU in 2015. Emily has also served on a regional broker and agent advisory council to the Department of Health and Human Services and was invited to the White House in 2014 to attend the launch of the Small Business Health Options Program.
